Is your site ready for the Holiday Shopping Season?

Are your Google Rankings where you want them to be? Or are your competitors going to take advantage of the increased natural search volume when November comes around?

If you want more natural search traffic sales for Q4 2017, the time to act is now! Ever since the (thankfully last) Penguin Update from 2016, we see much faster results overall with our SEO campaigns, which is very exciting. Instead of a 2-4 month window before we start to see positive movement in the SERPS, now we usually see results within a couple months. So that means waiting on an SEO campaign until September could yield some results in November/December, which is good news. However, acting now means much much much more in revenue for this holiday shopping season and beyond.

Here’s what we’re seeing, taken from a mix of client sites from various platforms and industries.

On average, our clients are seeing growth in the number of top ten Google rankings right away, with an almost 50% increase after two months. More importantly, they’re seeing results after two months in natural search traffic as well. And we can see from the graph below that they see that increase in traffic after just two months. And of course, it’s even better after 4 months, 6 months, and 12 months.

What that means is the site that waits will be missing out on a lot of traffic!

Here’s an example. Let’s say you’re a retail site that does $75,000 in a normal month from natural search eCommerce sales, but that bumps up to $150,000 in November and December. If you started a campaign now, you’d see results much faster than if you waited two months.

In this scenario, without doing anything, you would expect revenue from natural search traffic to be $600,000 through the end of the year. If you decide to move forward with an SEO campaign in September, based on what we’ve seen from our clients, your revenue would increase about $56,000 through the end of the year. And if you get started in July, again based on past results, your revenue would increase by over $130,000!
